Opening Ceremony at Tokyo Electron’s Art Exhibit

Last night, I attended the opening ceremony for Tokyo Electron’s art exhibit “A Close-up View: East Asian Art & Antiquities,” located in the lobby of Tokyo Electron America here in Austin. The exhibit showcases the work of photographer Cecilia Ling as well as artifacts donated by members of the Japan-America Society of Greater Austin.

I also managed to film Eriko Geyer’s nihon buyo peformance of “Zundoko-bushi.”

Otherwise, visit the lobby at Tokyo Electron at 2400 Grove Blvd here in Austin and check it out for yourself.  You will need to make an appointment with security before you arrive, so be sure to contact them before you plan to visit (512-424-1000). The art exhibit will run through September 8th.
